Tommy Gunn lives in Halesowen, West Midlands and
started DJing at the age of 17 working local venues, pubs & clubs in
Wolverhampton and Birmingham. He is a seasoned broadcaster of many years, but his passion for the music
still sounds as fresh now as it has always been.
Tommy say’s “My first love in music as always been Northern Soul, Motown and
70s Soul.
Fourteen years ago we started a Northern Soul & Motown night
‘Halesowen Soul Club’ which runs every month in Halesowen with
guest DJs including Mike Hollis from Radio Luxumborg, Russ
Winstanley, Brian Rae and many more from the Northern Soul
scene i.e. Wigan Casino, Twisted wheel, Catacombs etc.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with names such
as Kim Weston, Martha Reeves, Jimmy James, Ben E King, The Real
Thing, Benny Troy, Odyssey, Heatwave, The Stylistics, The
Commitments, Edwin Star Band, Dean Parrish, Tommy Hunt,
Marvin Ruffin and Johnny Boy Pryers”.
